George is founder and chief executive of JANANEEHTI and JANANEETHI INSTITUTE.

A lawyer of Kerala High Court and human rights defender, George has experience in democratic and civil society movements for more than 30 years.

JANANEETHI, started in 1992 as registered charity for legal aid to the poor, psycho-legal therapeutic serivices to victims of torture, organised violence, corruption and sexual discriminations and negotiated settlements of disputes attends not less than 5000 petitioners a year and renders its services completely free of costs. Clinical Legal Education for empowerment and emancipation from deprivation and indignation are regularly organised by Jananeethi for women and adolescent girls of low income families.

JANANEETHI INSTITUTE, registered as charity in the year 2000 for Research and Training in Democracy, Human Rights, Rule of Law, Gender, Conflict Resolution, Environment and Community Health is intented for moulding 'Change Makers' for the future.
